Louise McSharry Welcomes First Child

Louise McSharry has welcomed her first child with husband Gordon.

McSharry, who is a presenter on Irish radio station 2FM, announced her pregnancy in April of this year. At the time, she said she was excited to become a mother after she had undergone cancer treatment.


She explained: "The treatment which had saved my life had also decimated my egg count. Where I should have been at 35 or 40 on the scale of being able to conceive, I was a two. I was a two, and I was p***ed off."

Taking to Twitter today, 6 October, she updated her followers on her personal life, simply tweeting: "Happy to say we have our baby, he is the best thing ever and his name is Sam."
