Natasha Hamilton Defends Engagement

Natasha Hamilton has defended her engagement to Charles Gay.

The singer announced she was to marry her partner last week, after just eight months of dating. Following the news, the mother-of-four was criticised for moving on so quickly from her previous engagement to Ritchie Neville, with whom she shares two-year-old daughter Ella.

However, the 34-year-old has now spoken to OK! magazine, defending her newest relationship.


She said: "I know it's quick, but what Charlie and I have is very special. Charlie is a great man who loves me and is great with my children.

"I'm not going to let the opportunity to be happy pass me by for fear that people will judge me."

Hamilton was previously engaged to singer Ritchie Neville. The couple started dating after meeting on ITV's The Big Reunion in 2013. They welcomed a daughter, Ella, the following year. In 2015, Neville proposed, but the couple ended their romance in March 2016.

Hamilton is also a mother to Josh, 14, Harry, 11, and six-year-old Alfie, all with different partners.
