According to Us Weekly, the reality television star was said to be waiting for the right time to file for divorce. The news came just weeks after West, 39, was hospitalised following a nervous breakdown.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "She cares about Kanye and feels relieved he is getting the help he needs, but she's felt trapped for a while."
Another insider added that 36-year-old Kardashian will not make any decision until her husband has fully recovered.
However, according to the Daily Mail, a source said that the couple are fine and that the divorce rumours are "totally false and without merit".
A statement from E! Online, which produces Kardashian's television show, also said on Thursday that the couple are not divorcing.
Kardashian and West started dating in April 2012, and announced their engagement in October 2013. They tied the knot in Florence, Italy, in May the following year.
The couple have two children together; daughter North 'Nori' West, aged three, and one-year-old son Saint.
