Lampard, 37, was appearing on ITV's Loose Women and the panel were discussing how grief can affect people and the television presenter spoke about how her own grief, and that of her husband's, after they both lost a parent.
She said: "Frank lost his mum before me. Grief affects you in different ways when you meet someone after.
"On his wedding day he said in his speech that his biggest regret was that I never got to meet her.
"I'm not going to cry saying this. He said he saw lots of her in me, and he could imagine us going for afternoon tea and shopping together. He got emotional with his speech."
Frank's mother, Pat, was 58 when she passed away in 2008, one year before Frank met his future wife.
She continued: "It's [grief] definitely altered him as a person. Strip everything else back and say what is the important thing. All I can wish for is the health of my family."
Frank and Christine tied the knot in December 2015 following a four-year engagement.
