Kris Marshall Quit Acting Job For Family

Kris Marshall has revealed that he has quit BBC drama Death In Paradise because being away from his family is now too hard.

The actor, who appeared on Good Morning Britain on Thursday morning, explained that the show is filmed in the Caribbean and as a result, he was recently away from his family for a lengthy period of time.

He told the hosts: "I've loved it [Death In Paradise]. It's time to move on and give someone else some sun. I'm still thinking whether I've made the right decision.

"It is amazing and I've been filming in London since and there's a moment when you stand in the cold and think why am I not in flips flops in the Caribbean?"

Admitting that he found it hard being away from his family, the 43-year-old said: "For the last few years I have been able to take them with me but we had a daughter and this last series I did on my own. Skyping leaves me bereft."

Marshall and his wife Hannah are parents to Thomas, four, and daughter Elsa.
