Tom Hanks Says He Is A 'Cool' Grandparent

Tom Hanks has said that he is a "cool" grandparent, alongside his wife Rita Wilson.

The actor, 60, made the comments to Entertainment Tonight, adding that his young grandkids are entertaining.

He said: "When you have grandkids, if you're with one of them – or all three of them – look, there's no book, no radio, no TV. You're going to be entertained by them every moment that you're there. Sit back and watch the show!"


His wife, also 60, added: "We're the cool grandparents."

"I think [we're] the most cool," Hanks agreed.

Hanks has four children; Colin, 39, and Elizabeth, 34, with his late ex-wife Samantha Lewes, and Chet, 29, and 21-year-old Truman with his wife Rita Wilson. He is a grandfather of three.
