Fans Get Engaged At Adele Concert

A couple have become engaged at an Adele concert in Australia.

At the weekend, Wade Nicholson-Doyle took his boyfriend, Chris, to the show in Melbourne as a 40th birthday present. During the show, Adele selected the pair from the audience and invited them on stage.


Mr Nicholson-Doyle then got on one knee and proposed to his partner.

Adele joked: "Did you say yes?" before she embraced the couple, adding: "I actually had no idea that was going to happen. Congratulations."

Same-sex marriage is not legal in Australia. Last year, a proposal for a vote on the issue was blocked in parliament.
