The former couple became engaged in an argument over social media.
Recently, the pair went to Dubai in order to try and heal their friendship following their split and they did appear to be getting on amicably – until footage emerged of them engaged in a fierce argument.
At the time, Lewis had been accused by Marnie of stealing her bank card – an allegation he denied.
However, it appears that the couple's friendship is still on rocky terms after they became embroiled in another row, this time on Twitter.
Lewis appeared to kick off the row when he referred to himself as a "mug", after he saw pictures of his ex apparently getting close to another one of her ex-boyfriends Aaron Chalmers. Aaron stars in Geordie Shore alongside Marnie and the pictures appeared as they filmed the latest series of the reality television show.
Addressing the images, Lewis quoted an old tweet he'd written about Marnie which read: "Spoke to my lovely gf today really cheered me up. She's ok.. I can imagine its tough living with exes.. can't wait to get my arms round her (sic)."
Sharing the tweet, he then wrote afresh: "How jokes when I tweeted this and she was doing that... what a mug. #PotKettle (sic)."
His comment soon caught the attention of his ex, though, who hit back: "U were tweeting me when u were s***ging every Tom dick and harry! R u crazy.' (sic)."
She later added: "If people knew the truth. That is all."
Lewis has previously admitted to cheating on Marnie when they were in a relationship.
