Pregnant Women 'Use The Internet For Medical Advice'

New data has revealed that almost three quarters of pregnant women use the internet as a source of medical advice.

Among those who use the internet, GlobalWebIndex found that 72% use the world wide web for medical advice. This compares to 50% of the general population who use it for the same purpose.

In addition, 55% of pregnant women use medical websites, with the same number using search engines for answers to their queries.

Some 46% were found to use online blogs and forums as a source of medical information.
