Jane Danson Reveals Stillbirth Storyline Was Like 'Therapy'

Coronation street actress Jane Danson has revealed that her co-stars storyline of losing a baby helped her mourn the loss of her own baby.

Michelle Connor, played by Kym Marsh, recently suffered a stillbirth in the soap, and Jane praised the actress saying the scenes were like "therapy".


Jane, who has two sons with her husband Robert Beck, said because both of them had been through the same experience in real life they were both able to relate to each other,

Speaking on ITV's Loose Women, she said: "I'd been through that experience, but I'd kept it to myself and hadn't spoken about it before that storyline came up.

"Kym and I had never really worked together before, but we knew what we'd be going through as we'd both had those experiences.

"In a way it helped me because I'd never talked about it before. It was like therapy."
