New Campaign Urges Pregnant Women To 'Always Ask'

A new campaign has launched urging pregnant women to 'Always Ask'.

The campaign, which is endorsed by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), is designed to reduce the number of women who have serious pregnancy complications, or a loss that could have been prevented.

Supporting the campaign are Tommy's, Kings College London and Babycentre.

It follows recent research from Babycentre that shows more than 60% of women worry that they're wasting midwives' time, so don't ask about health concerns.

Cathy Warwick, RCM Chief Executive, said: "Ensuring women know when to speak up and be able to do so is critical to delivering high quality maternity services.

"This campaign will help ensure that women and their midwives are better able to work in partnership to achieve that."
