Top Songs To Dance To At Weddings Revealed

Queen, The Killers and David Bowie are among the artists most likely to get guests dancing at a wedding, according to a new survey.

The survey has been carried out by online local service company Bidivine.com and involved its 1,400 DJs to discover the top 10 most popular wedding songs.

Leading the way is 'I Want You Back' by The Jackson 5 with 35% of the vote, with Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' in second place (20%) and 'Mr Brightside' by The Killers in third place (18%).

Other songs making the top 10 include 'Chelsea Dagger' (The Fratellis), 'Don't Stop Till You Get Enough' (Michael Jackson), 'Everybody Get Up' (5ive), 'A Little Less Conversation' (Junkie XL VS Elvis Presley), 'Happy' (Pharrell Williams), 'Uptown Funk' (Bruno Mars), and 'Let's Dance' (David Bowie).

The survey also asked about the work song request the DJs had also received with Kanye West's Gold Digger feat. Jamie Foxx, Another One Bites The Dust by Queen, Killing In The Name Of from Rage Against the Machine and The Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Loving Feeling being named.

Russ Morgan, Co-Founder of Bidivine.com, is quoted as saying: "It appears to be a real worry for brides and grooms on what type of music to play at their wedding.

"After all, most weddings have a variety of guests, ranging from older grandparents to young kids, so it's hard to pick music that will appeal to everyone.

"From what our DJs have said, a good mix of music artists from different decades is key, along with family friendly, well-known songs to get people up and moving."

He added: "The worst requests really made us chuckle, some at first you think shouldn't be deemed bad, but then when you think of the lyrics you realise why they're inappropriate."
