A tea party was hosted by Prince Andrew and the York family last week at the Palace ahead of Harper's sixth birthday on Monday.
The former footballer shared a photo of himself hugging the six-year-old on her birthday, as well as a photograph of Harper beside Princess Beatrice.
However, despite many fans loving the photo, some commentators reacted angrily to the Beckham's receiving 'special treatment'.
One twitter user wrote: "Harper Beckham at Buckingham Palace? Pass the sick bag. What about Grenfell victims who have nothing?"
Taking to Instagram, David said: "Just to be clear this wasn't the palace opening the gates for Harper's birthday party.
