The Late Late Show host shared the news earlier this week as the couple attended the Emmy Awards.
Speaking to Mario Lopez at the event, the 39-year-old said: "She'll be arriving Christmas – we're very excited. It will be great, lovely. We're having a little girl, it's going to be terrific."
James and his wife Julia have been married since September 2012. The couple are already parents to two children; six-year-old Max, and two-year-old daughter Carey.
