Seven years ago, Goodger, who rose to fame on reality television show The Only Way Is Essex, was in a relationship with Mark Wright, who was also her co-star.
However, as their relationship played out on the series, the couple separated and Wright then moved on and started dating another TOWIE co-star – Lucy Mecklenburgh.
This romance was short-lived and Wright and Goodger reunited and subsequently announced their engagement. Yet, it has since been claimed that Goodger has never gotten over her ex's tryst with Mecklenburgh.
Recently, Goodger was named as a potential contestant for this year's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', alongside actor Ryan Thomas – who is now said to be dating Mecklenburgh.
As a result, reports quickly surfaced that Goodger saw the opportunity to flirt with Thomas and therefore get back at her former castmate.
Sources were quoted by Closer magazine as saying: "Lauren's never got over Lucy's 'affair', as she called it, with Mark and has held a grudge ever since.
"As soon as she saw Ryan was rumoured to join her in the jungle, she saw it as an opportunity to give Lucy a taste of her own medicine.
"She's got no serious plans to steal Ryan, but she would like Lucy to realise how humiliating it felt for her when she was linked to Mark."
This claim has since been denied by the 31-year-old whose representative told MailOnline: "This is absolute rubbish and no truth in any of it."
