The boxer, who recently appeared on ITV reality show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', spoke to The Sun about his relationship with his partner.
He is quoted by the newspaper as saying: "We didn't go through with the divorce because it's banned in Islam when a girl is pregnant.
"I've learned my lesson. It was a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger. I think we will be married forever."
Going on to say how his appearance in the Australian jungle has affected his relationships, the 31-year-old added: "Family-wise, being in the jungle has made me realise how important they are to me. In a weird way being away from them has made me feel closer to them.
"I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn't around them. I was so far away. I missed them like crazy.
"I don't think we'll break up again now, we both know how much we need each other. It was a bit of a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger."
Amir and Faryal tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Lamisha, the following year. Earlier this year, Faryal announced that she was pregnant with the couple's second child. The news came just weeks after the couple said they had separated.
