Storm Emma Forces Cancellation Of Co Louth Wedding

Storm Emma has ruined the wedding of Lurgan, Co Armagh couple Emma O'Kane and Chris Butler.

The current extreme weather forced the couple to cancel their wedding on Thursday, 01 March, just hours before the ceremony was due to begin at Darver Castle in Dundalk, Co Louth.


Almost 130 guests were due to join the Lurgan couple in Dundalk.

It is understood that the pair were preparing for the wedding when the venue contacted them to warn them about the treacherous conditions and while they would honour the couple's decision if they wanted to go ahead with the ceremony, their recommendation was that the wedding was postponed.

The wedding has been rescheduled for 29 March.
