Royal Wedding's Public Guests Asked To Bring Picnics

Public guests of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been asked to "bring their own picnics" to the event on 19 May.

It is understood that the 1,200 handpicked members of the public invited to the event have received letters from Lord Lieutenants, who represent the Queen, advising them to "bring a picnic lunch as it will not be possible to buy food and drink on site".

According to reports, some of those invited have expressed their surprise at the request in light of the Royal families estimated £400 million fortune.

However, the situation remains unclear after Kensington Palace appeared to contradict the letters by claiming that "some refreshments and snacks would be available", but have not clarified the situation.
