Speaking to Piers Morgan on 'Good Morning Britain' he said that he decided not to attend three days before she was due to wed Prince Harry.
He said he cried on the sofa as he watched her say her vows on television.
He also apologised to the pair. He said: "I realised it was a serious mistake. It's hard to take it back' and said they were 'both very forgiving'."
