The Grammy award-winner and his wife Luisana Lopilato announced Noah's cancer two years ago and later revealed in April 2017 that he was through his battle.
Speaking to Australia's TODAY Show about their ordeal, the star recently said: "It sucked and still sucks because what we went through was the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent and maybe as a human being.
"There were a million times that my wife and I were just, surviving."
In his emotional interview Michael also said the support his family received during that time gave them "faith in humanity".
He revealed that, following the diagnosis, he made some personal changes including a vow to avoid social media and not to watch his own interviews or read articles about himself as he felt that life was "too short".
