Cardi B Pays Tribute To Daughter

Singer Cardi B used her acceptance speech at the American Music Awards to pay tribute to her daughter for helping her to "prove people wrong".

Three-month-old baby Kulture is the singer's first child with husband Offset, and is the reason she continued with her career after becoming a parent.


Cardi B said in her speech: "I really wanna thank my daughter, and not just because she's my daughter.

"When I was pregnant, I was just so influenced to be like, yo I got to do this. I gotta show people wrong. I gotta prove people wrong, 'cause they said I wasn't gonna make it, after I had the baby."

The 25-year-old star was awarded prizes for Favourite Artist and Favourite Song for her collaboration with Bruno Mars on their hit 'Finesse', and attributes much of her success to her desire to provide for baby Kulture.
