Claire Foy Taking Acting Break To Focus On Daughter

Claire Foy has revealed she has no plans to return to acting any time soon as she wants to focus on her daughter Ivy Rose.

The 34-year-old actress rose to fame when she played Queen Elizabeth in the Netflix drama The Crown, but plans to leave the glamour behind to work harder at being a mother.


The break may become permanent, as she told The Sun: "I have no intention to go back."

Her decision may come as a shock to some fans, as she recently said there was still many other avenues she hoped to explore as an actress.

"I don't feel like I'm defined by playing Queen Elizabeth. It's a huge honour that people liked that character and therefore see me as that character," Claire admitted last month, but added that her career choices are "purely based on what I want to do".
