JK Rowling Congratulates Couple On Harry Potter Proposal

JK Rowling has offered her congratulations to a couple after they got engaged at a Harry Potter event promoting the new film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald.

Steph Bennet proposed to her girlfriend Emily Scouler at the movie screening in London last week, surrounded by nine illuminated giant wands.


Following Emily's acceptance, a military marching band called the Grenadier Guards serenaded the happy couple with music from the films.

The creator of the wizardly world, JK Rowling, sent her best wishes to the Derbyshire couple.

"Congratulations, Steph and Emily!," she wrote on Twitter.

According to the Fantastic Beasts social media account, it's the second wedding proposal at the World Wands installation in London.
