Dolly Parton Has No Plans To Retire

Dolly Parton has revealed she has no plans to retire, and would even like to die on stage mid-performance.

The 72-year-old singer discussed her love for work in an interview with People magazine, and said she is grateful to still be here enjoying life.


"So many people have more talent than I've ever dreamed of having that never get to see dreams come true," the singer said.

"There's a whole lot to be said for loving your work and having confidence in yourself. I never once thought of retiring…

"I just hope I fall dead in the middle of a song, hopefully one I wrote, right on stage. That's the way I go!"

The 'Jolene' hitmaker revealed that the only reason she may consider giving up work is if her husband or someone in her family needed her.
