Oprah Winfrey Pays Tribute To Her Mum

Oprah Winfrey has paid tribute to her mum Vernita Lee and thanked fans for their support following her passing.

The 64-year-old media mogul's mother died on thanksgiving, 22 November, at home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 83.


The talk show legend has since spoken out after the news was made public, by sharing a family photo on Instagram.

Alongside, she wrote: "Thank you for all your kind words and condolences regarding my mother's passing.

"It gives our family great comfort knowing she lived a good life and is now at peace."

Vernita was laid to rest in a private funeral, and is survived by Oprah and her other daughter Patricia Amanda Faye.
