Free Uber Rides For NHS Staff At Christmas

All NHS staff in England can avail of free taxi rides to travel to and from work over the festive period.

Uber's offer is available to staff who register with their official NHS email address by 9am on 24 December, allowing them to claim two £10 codes.

The discount can be redeemed throughout Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but demand is expected to be high following last year when 350,000 NHS staff in England spent the day working.


Uber's general manager for Northern and Eastern Europe Jamie Heywood said: "NHS staff will have enough to worry about this Christmas, so we'd like to at least try to take care of their travel. During a time when it isn't always easy to get from A to B, we hope that this offer will help them get home to their families sooner."
