Rainbow Roses To Help Homeless LGBT Youth For Valentine's Day

UK supermarket chain Morrisons is selling rainbow roses in support of homeless LGBT+ people this Valentine's Day.

The chain has partnered with The Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity devoted to the issue, in launching the special flower.

Bouquets of rainbow roses will be on sale at all Morrisons stores from Monday 11 February, with 50p of each sale going to the charity initiative.

The retailer hopes that the roses, dyed so that each petal displays colours of the rainbow, will be a celebration of all types of love.

Inspired by the rainbow flag which symbolises the LGBT+ community, Morrisons florists cut the rose stems and dip each part into a different coloured water, which are absorbed by the flower to turn each petal into a different vibrant shade, including blue, yellow, green, violet and pink.
