Mark, a member of massive boyband Westlife, posted a picture of his new engagement ring by a bottle of champagne to his 127k followers.
He wrote: "2019 has been so amazing to me so far and it’s only getting started! I wanted to be the first to say it...️engaged". Hundreds of fans congratulated the 38-year-old singer on his engagement.
While he has never revealed the identity of his new fiancé, he seemed elated to share his news as he posted a video of his romantic holiday on his Instagram story, then turning the camera around to show his new ring.
Two years previously, Mark confirmed his long-term romance with the mystery man, saying: "I am going out with an Irish guy now, so it suits us both to be back in Ireland and our families are closeby."
"We are together four years now, so it has been quite a while and I am very happy."
When asked why he has chosen not to publicise his partner's name, he explained: "A lot of people ask me his name and it is not that I don't say his name, it is his thing to say and if he wants to be in a magazine then that's his choice."
"He is not quiet believe me, he is far from quiet, but he has no experience whatsoever in the music industry and he is quite shy about coming to the red carpet."
He also revealed that the couple were eager to start a family, disclosing: "I am looking into all the options and obviously it is a little more complex for a gay couple than a heterosexual couple because they can just do it- literally".
"I am more ready now then I ever have been, I have never felt more eager and broody".
