Jessica Simpson Gives Birth

Jessica Simpson has welcomed her third child, Birdie Mae Johnson, according to her publicist.

The new arrival is the star's third child with husband Eric Johnson, a sibling for six-year-old Maxwell and five-year-old Ace.

Jessica's representative confirmed to People magazine that Birdie was born late on Tuesday 19 March weighing 10lbs 130z.


It comes only days after sources claimed she was ready and waiting to give birth, with her hospital bags packed.

An insider said: "Jessica is definitely uncomfortable. This has been a tough pregnancy but she knows it will all be worth it when she's holding that little baby. Her hospital bags are packed. Everyone is trying to be patient, but the family is so excited and counting the minutes until the baby is here."
