Avengers Star Brie Larson In Call For LGBT Superhero

'Captain Mavel' actress Brie Larson has called on Marvel to introduce its first LGBT+ superhero.

In an interview with Variety, the star said the idea that some people believed there would never be a gay superhero was "heart-breaking".

"There's no reason," Brie explained. "I don't understand how you could think a certain type of person isn't allowed to be a superhero."

The actress added that Marvel has "gotta move faster" on the issue.

The franchise has made history with its representation with the release of 'Black Panther', its first film to fear a mostly-black cast and 'Captain Marvel', its first stand-alone led by a woman.
