Beth Tweddle Welcomes First Child

Retired Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle has given birth to her first child with husband Andy Allen and shared a glimpse of the newborn, along with their chosen name, with her followers.

The 34-year-old welcomed a baby girl named Freya last Thursday and announced the news on Instagram alongside an image of the tiny newborn's hands in hers and her husbands.


"Exciting news!" the former Dancing on Ice contestant wrote.

"Andy and I are delighted to welcome and introduce Freya Allen to the world.

"Born 16th May, both her and I are doing well. What an unbelievable feeling and we're looking forward to the amazing journey ahead."

Fans have rushed to congratulate the happy family, who revealed they were expecting the tot in December.
