James Burrows Is A Dad

Coronation Street actor James Burrows has introduced his newborn baby girl into the world with long-term girlfriend Sophie Coates.

The new parents announced the arrival in an exclusive OK! Magazine shoot released earlier this week, and said Betty Florence Burrows was born on April 25.


Sophie suffered through a gruelling 46 hour labour after being induced due to suffering from pre-eclampsia. The baby was then born with an infection, meaning they remained in hospital for ten days.

27-year-old actor and prod dad James said: "It was quite a stressful time. I just wanted to get them both home."

Sophie added that the experience was "very intense".

The couple are happy to be a family together at home, with James saying the birth was the "best moment" of his life.
