In a surprising end to the eight-week long series, bookies' favourites Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague lost out on the £50,000 cash prize.
Amber, a beauty therapist from Newcastle, took the win alongside her rugby player partner Greg, who entered the Spanish villa just two weeks ago.
Presenter Caroline Flack announced the pair as the winners of the hugely successful ITV2 show on Monday evening.
The final attracted an average audience of 3.63 million- peaking at 4.05 million- and gained a 21.4% average audience share. According to ITV, it was the most watched episode of the series so far and the most watched Love Island episode ever.
Both Amber and Greg are believed to have appeared dumbfounded when announced as the winners, while runner up Fury commented: "Amber has had a hard time in here, she deserves everything that's coming to her."
