The singer will give birth to her second child, her first with partner Matt Pokora, in the coming weeks and is looking forward to becoming a mother again.
The new arrival will be a little brother for nine year-old Violet, who Christina has with The Dream.
She told PEOPLE: "I had such a great time at our shower. It felt so good celebrating with our closest friends and family.
"Matt and I felt the love in the room and can't wait to meet our little 'Prince.' "
Christina also told of how she has found this pregnancy different to her first and hasn't experienced any morning sickness while expecting her son.
"I had no morning sickness, everything's been fine," she explained. "Even my belly, I carry it different than a girl. It's kind of weird to experience that. Having a boy is pretty awesome."
