While the couple divorced in 2017, the singer admits that she still adores her former husband but spent a lot of their marriage feeling "invisible" compared to his superstar status.
Jamie and Louise share two children together.
The 45 year-old told The Sun: "I adore him and always will. Jamie was the absolute love of my life. I guess I was happy to be invisible for a little while, but at the same time I felt I was becoming less and less of a person. And being less and less visible was kind of hard to take when I used to be a pop star."
The star has been open about her struggle since splitting from Jamie, but believes her children are the reason she has kept going.
"I can't help but wear my heart on my sleeve," she confessed. "I can't help but wear my heart on my sleeve. And I think that's probably my biggest downfall in life. I give. It's just the hardest thing in the world to go through. But I've got kids. I have to keep going."
