Jodie Turner-Smith's Family Plans

Jodie Turner-Smith doesn't want to raise her family in the US.

The actress and her husband Joshua Jackson are expecting their first child together and plan to move out of America in the near future.


Jodie told The Times newspaper of her reasoning, which mainly centres around racism and the safety of her future children.

The 33 year-old said: "The racial dynamics over here are fraught. White supremacy is overt. It's the reason I don't want to raise my kids here. I don't want my kids to grow up doing active shooter drills at school."

The pair are considering raising their family in Canada.
